How to Slow Down Graying Hair

Written by Hunter Bauchner

A common misconception concerning gray hair is that it is due to aging. The truth is, whether a person will gray and at what age those gray hairs start coming in is genetic. According to Dr. Helmenstine and other medical experts, the age when you might begin to gray will be around the same age as it was for your parents and grandparents. While we don't have much control concerning whether we gray or the age that graying will begin, we do have some control over how fast graying occurs.

Why your hair is frizzy & what to do about it.

Dry, frizzy, brittle hair is not flattering. If you're losing the battle to frizz, it's time to take a look at your hair care routine.

What causes frizzy hair and how do you control it? According to Dr. Jacob, a dermatologist, "your hair's outer layer, the cuticle, under magnification looks very much like shingled roof. When hair is smooth, those 'shingles' lie flat, but when you run a brush through dry, curly hair, those 'shingles' lift."

Traction alopecia is a form of hair loss that occurs as a result of what you do to your hair. This is a preventable and treatable form of hair loss as it is not genetically and hormonally driven. Just by modifying the ways in which you style your hair can really do a lot to solving this hair loss problem, the goal is to catch it before more damage is done.

The technology around the application of hair augmentation has become very sophisticated. Hair augmentation is now available for men and women of all ethnicities and different hair types.
